Do I have to pay before I can use the map?

Accepted Answer

No. Create a free account and every island opens in your browser, with no payment and nothing to install. You'll see a curated preview of each island straight away, so you can get a feel for it before deciding to unlock the rest.

How many locations can I see for free?

Accepted Answer

Ten on every island, hand-picked to span the categories rather than clustered in one corner: a beach, a hike, a viewpoint, a natural pool and so on. That's seventy locations across the archipelago, free, for as long as you like.

Question 3

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Not in the traditional sense, and deliberately. The free preview has no countdown, asks for no card and never auto-converts into a paid plan. It simply stays free. You unlock an island when you decide it's worth it.

Question 4

What do I get when I unlock an island?

Accepted Answer

Every location on that island: all pins, all twelve categories, photos, ratings, descriptions and exact coordinates with one-tap routing, plus Near Me and your own saved shortlist. Nothing on that island stays hidden.

Question 5

Can I unlock just one island, or do I need all seven?

Accepted Answer

Either, and anything in between. Pick exactly the islands you're visiting. The more you choose the larger the discount on the total, rising to 40% if you take all seven.

Question 6

Monthly, yearly or lifetime: what's the difference?

Accepted Answer

Only how long it lasts and what it costs. Monthly is the smallest commitment and stops whenever you like. Yearly is one payment instead of twelve and works out far cheaper per month. Lifetime is a single payment with no renewal to remember. The map is the same on all three.

How does billing and cancelling work?

Accepted Answer

Payment is handled by Stripe, so your card details never reach our servers. A monthly or yearly unlock renews until you stop it, and you can cancel in one click from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the period you have already paid for runs to its end.

Question 8

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

No. Your access opens the moment payment succeeds, and by completing the purchase you ask us to supply it immediately and give up the cancellation right that would otherwise apply to digital content. You confirm that at checkout before you pay, and we repeat it in your receipt. Cancelling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current one. Rights that cannot be excluded by law, such as your rights if something is faulty or not as described, are unaffected.

What can I pay with?

Accepted Answer

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. Checkout is hosted by Stripe.

Do I need to install an app?

Accepted Answer

No. It runs in your browser, on the phone in your pocket or the laptop you planned the trip on. No download, no app store, no update to chase. Add it to your home screen if you want it a tap away.

Does it work without signal?

Accepted Answer

The map needs a connection to load. Out in the barrancos that isn't a given, so the practical move is to open the location while you still have signal and send the coordinates to your own maps app, which will hold the route offline.

How accurate are the locations?

Accepted Answer

Every pin carries verified coordinates for the spot itself rather than the nearest town or car park, which is the difference between arriving and driving past. Where a place is hard to reach or genuinely risky, the location says so.

Are new locations added?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and they appear on any island you have unlocked at no extra cost. We're out finding and checking them ourselves.

Question 14

Why do I have to agree to something before the map opens?

Accepted Answer

Because some of these places are cliffs, drops, unmarked trails and remote coastline, and a few are on land somebody else looks after. The agreement is short: go at your own risk, use your judgement, respect wildlife and local rules, and leave the place as you found it. You can read it again any time from your account or on the safety and conduct page.

Can I stop the emails?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in one click from the bottom of any email, and it needs no sign-in. Your account page has a switch for each kind if you'd rather keep some and not others.

Can I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from your account page. It also removes your saved places and your email preferences. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is deleted, what is kept and for how long.
